Hi everyone!

Here you'll find the most recent bugs and suggestions to avoid/prevent them. Let's start!

== SPOILER FREE SECTION ==

Bug 1- Game goes back to desktop, giving an error message which is not readable due to the game windows is overlapping on its area.
Reason 1- The message is about your video card is being old and doesn't support shader model 3.0.
Solution 1- Change your video card according to the minimum specifications of the game.

Bug 2- In Windows Vista, executable requires elevation (running with Administrator privileges). (Thanks to JohnBen and Jenna)
Reason 2- It was set to have admin privileges.
Solution 2- Use this manifest file and overwrite them with the existing ones.


== SECTION WITH SPOILERS ==




Bug 3- The locked door at the end of the corridor in the "Hidden Place" is passable through. Passing it causes to fall down forever. (Thanks to Devaki)
Reason 3- The door has no collision associated.
Solution 3- Don't walk onto it.

Bug 4- In the "Old Building" in the room where the footsteps are.When i crouched next to the table, player goes through the floor and keeps falling. (Thanks to Devaki)
Reason 4- Unknown at the moment.
Solution 4- Try to have a save just before crouching near the table.

Bug 5- When you put one cylinder on top of another on phonograph, first one is lost forever. (Thanks to dw2solver)
Reason 5- Scripting mistake.
Solution 5- Don't do this!

Bug 6- Cupboard door lock puzzle in the "Old Building" may not function right at first run.
Reason 6- Scripting mistake.
Solution 6- Save, quit and restart the game.

Bug 7- Upon entering Howard's room after the "remembering" cutscene in the mansion's upper hall, it's possible to exit the room before the door's closed.
This caused the player to stuck outside of the room in which they should sleep.
Reason 7- Scripting mistake.
Solution 7- Reload the game from the closest save and let the door close after entering room by walking forward.

Bug 8- Howard talks about "Speaking Machines" without getting the translated version of that passage from the book "Recollections of the Past".
Reason 8- Scripting mistake.
Solution 8- There is none! Will be fixed in the patch.

Bug 9- In the downloadable versions of the game, loading screen captions seem wrong. (Thanks to someuser)
Reason 9- Scripting mistake.
Solution 9- This issue will be fixed in the patch.

Bug 10- Some clue descriptions are same with the clue list headers. (Thanks to someuser)
Reason 10- Scripting mistake.
Solution 10- This issue will be fixed in the patch.

Bug 11- It's possible to fall down to the pit in the galleries of "Old building" though the edges of stairs in the bottom by jumping. (Thanks to Cthulhu)
Reason 11- Incorrect collisions.
Solution 11- This issue will be fixed in the patch.

Bug 12- Picking up an object and returning to mainmenu by pressing ESC causes the object to be dropped even it was colliding a wall another objects. This leads to losing dynamic objects permenantly.
Reason 12- Programming mistake.
Solution 12- This issue will be fixed in the patch.

You can use Config tool to run the game in a custom resolution like 1920x1080.

I think that Morse code puzzle is wrong. There is no letter R in the message. When you enter the room (with the corpse) and go out after insect bites you can hear signals but without letter R. There is also a glitch in the game. You can fall into pit if you jump from the bottom of the stairs. Greetings.

In the game script (with HTML-like IDs) I think I found some minor mistakes:

The topic's ID is: "", but the outcome's ID: "" instead of ""

Also there is a "" "" pair, but in the text with ID "" the "Gnarus" word can't be underlined.

After I broke the cellarfloor, I met a tall man at the fence (he stood behind me). His text was: "Welcome, Howard!", but the caption was written: "04"

When I underline the "the notorious cult Children of Dis" in the notes of Karl Paleo (at the old building) Howard comments it as: "Children of Dis!".

But this is the topic of the outcome. The real comment should be: "The cult that Ivar Bergen and the others he met in his cabin are a part of. I know that they are very dangerous and have a lot of followers around the world who are doing some strange research for the cult. Some of the letters I've read in the cabin offer clear evidence of this."

I think I have found another one. This is similar to previous one: after underlining the "I placed the suits inside the locked cabinet in the bedroom." in Jacob's notes the resulting topic and outcome are same: "Locked cabinet." I guess the right outcome should be: "I'd better check this cabinet."

Subject: Picking up, putting down


Whenever something is picked up, there seems to be a heck of a time in putting it pack down... The objects will hilite in certain places but I can't seem to get a hand icon. Found that using esc on and off will drop the item, but in some cases like the boxes in the cottage, they disappear permanently. Is this a bug or am I just not getting it? And a manual as part of the download or online would be nice, or did I miss something there too :-)

You may need to stand in a open area to drop and item, since in your current situation, dropping the item may cause the object to stay in an other object/wall. So the object will be "red" if dropping is not possible. Pressing "ESC" and leaving to the mainmenu is a bug actually. It causes the item to be dropped without a collision check, so this may cause some unwanted results as you've mentioned.

An upcoming patch will fix this issue by not letting going back to the mainmenu when holding an object :)

Ive got the problem, that I can see lights and windows and so on... through walls and doors.

I think the textures are looking not so well, please give at least support for AA.

Thanks. We will look at this glow problem.

With the coming patch we have plans to implement both Antialiasing and Anisotropic Filtering features.
